Marketing your business with social media relies heavily on getting people to know you, like you, and trust you.  It is all about creating a relationship with your customers, near and far! Nurture this and you are golden!  Relationship management should play an important part in your marketing plan.

Its all about who you know!

This takes time.  More often than not the attention span of potential clients is rather short.  No more than a minute tops.  What this means is that you need to pop up on their radars on a fairly consistent basis without going too far overboard and irritating them.  Make yourself familiar to the client so that when they are ready for your products or services, you are the first business they think of.  Be consistent with your presence whether it be Facebook posts or with writing new blog articles.

People do business with people they like!

Be real in your interactions with people.  Let your potential customers get to know a little bit about what makes you and your business tick.  Not everyone will like your authentic self, but that is okay…they don’t all have to.  The ones who are meant to be your customers will be attracted to you…and those are the customers that you want!  When is the last time you bought something from someone you didn’t like?  I thought so. 😉

Show them they can trust you!

Trust is built over time.  Be genuine, show your sincerity, and do what you say you are going to do.  Consistency is a must.  People respond to this and once they trust you, they will be a customer for life.
